Our Prayers and Meditation are Working
It’s how we anchor a higher vibrational frequency into the field of human consciousness
Maria’s and my Sunday morning tradition is watching Michael Beckwith's live dharma talk and guided meditation, as it never fails to provide deep insights and inspiration. It’s also a nice variation from our usual morning meditation practice of sitting at our altar.
This past Sunday as the broadcast was beginning, I had the distinct feeling that Beckwith would address the war in Ukraine, which would be unusual as he never touches on politics or even mentions current events. But he did address it, and in an important and inspiring way.
It’s Always Working to Our Good
Sitting alone in meditation, or in our case the two of us side by side, observing our thoughts, quieting the mind, and focusing on breath can at times seem abstract in the world of physicality. In particular as we observe our thinking egoic mind persisting in its effort to keep us distracted and enmeshed in our thoughts of projection, fear, fantasy, and even holding entire conversations in our head, it can almost seem futile.
And yet it’s always working to our good, consistently rewiring our brains and prodding our subconscious minds into the light of conscious awareness. Over time, consistent meditation leads to profound changes in how we think and feel, the depth of our relationships, and the transformation that results.
In relation to those things taking place in the world today, Beckwith said that as we sit in meditation “Together we’re seeding the noosphere with the possibility of the next stage of humanity evolving.”
Such a statement is important to hear again and again to remember that what we are doing as we meditate is extremely important. Not just individually, but for all of humanity. It may seem like we’re not doing anything of importance, that we should be out organizing, protesting, taking up arms to bring an end to injustice. But we are doing something, and the more we do it the more effect it has. The more we join together in our anchoring, the energy we’re generating and projecting, the more we transform the world at large.
Then Beckwith went further to say, “We are the people of the future, living in the present, anchoring a vibrational state for the emergence of the next stage of humanity.”
WOW! That says it exactly. With each conscious breath in observance of our thoughts, which means not identifying with our thoughts but rising above them, we are changing ourselves, “seeding the noosphere,” and “anchoring a vibrational state for the emergence of the next stage of humanity.”
And then we see war rearing its ugly head once again. We see destruction, loss of life, distraction from important things like uplifting humanity and living more in harmony with nature. But what if the war in Ukraine is actually a part of the process of uplifting humanity? What if it’s just another opportunity to feel into the energy of war so fully that we can rise above it, transcend it, and finally transmute this form of energy from the field of human consciousness.
The Beginning of the Fifth Age of Humanity
2012 was not the end of the world, as some had predicted. The Mayan calendar did not say life would end, but perhaps life as we know it. From their extremely precise calendar that goes back millennia, December 21, 2012 merely indicated the end of the world of the fourth sun, which also implies the beginning of the world of the fifth sun.
Things are changing on a large scale. The rise of BLM, Me Too, and the Great Resignation are but a few examples. Many people have expressed amazement at how much more rapidly they are growing. I’ve found a rapid progression in my own spiritual understandings. Concepts that I could barely grasp intellectually ten years ago have become emotionally and spiritually integrated. I can feel the oneness of humanity more so than merely imagining or intellectualizing it. Conversations that were unheard of in our public sphere ten years ago are now commonplace, like giving serious consideration to such concepts as critical race theory and taking a more honest view of history.
There is also great resistance from those who do not wish for humanity to evolve. They are digging their heels in and seeking to return things to the prior norm. Putin can be seen as one who is resisting change. He wants to see the return of Soviet era puppet governments beholden to the Kremlin. But those individuals can only hold on for so long before their world will come crashing in, because the consciousness of humanity is changing.
We’re Having an Impact
While we seek to support the people of Ukraine in many ways, our prayers and our time in meditation anchoring a higher vibrational frequency of consciousness is of paramount importance. The war is not an indication that our personal work is not having and impact. It’s the opposite. Our personal work, our stillness and meditation, our anchoring time is what is making it difficult for Russia to merely steamroll in and take over as Putin had anticipated. It's why hundreds of thousands of people are protesting in solidarity all over Europe. It’s why many thousands of people in Russia are protesting at great personal risk. It’s why economic sanctions are increasing by the day.
But most importantly, it’s why so many people who live many thousands of miles away are actively feeling empathy for the people of Ukraine. A pinnacle component of the Hopi Prophecies is that we need to feel empathy for people all over the world. We are learning this ability, and it will only increase over time — as it needs to. We also need to empathize with people in countries where there is no perceived strategic advantage, or lack economically valuable natural resources, or where the people are not white. We need to learn to more deeply empathize with all people of the world.
Michael Beckwith also said on Sunday that “if no one is anchoring that sate, there won’t be a next stage.” In a sense, we are the spiritual warriors, the ones believing in the crazy prophesies and wisdoms of the sages who implore us to be still and meditate.
Prayer and meditation go hand in hand. Prayer is said to be talking to God, meditation is listening. There are many millions of people who do this every day. There are those who pray for people in power, for the downtrodden, for those who suffer greatly. I’m using prayer and meditation almost interchangeably because the kind of prayer I’m referring to is contemplative and affirmative and goes hand in hand with meditation.
Prayer is powerful. When in combination with meditation it becomes a force magnitude more powerful. Meditation is how we anchor a higher vibrational frequency, and it’s how we practice being peaceful — projecting it into the field of human consciousness.
This is how we will end war once and for all.
