Another flip of the rung. Another shift in thinking. Another change in the social order. Another change for the sake of change. And where are we?
There is intentional change and there is just change.
Seasons change without fail. And we might say there is no intention behind it, but for sure there is purpose. And so, the question begs: can change without intention be purposeful?
Must we always be thoughtful in our efforts, or do we merely align our efforts with our heart’s calling so that change can mostly be purposeful even if it seems random.
I’ve been writing mostly about change lately because that’s what is up for me — change on nearly every level. It’s as though I’m on a boat at sea and the wind and water are still. I’m floating (seemingly) randomly. It’s daytime so I can’t read the stars. I don’t have a GPS device, or let’s say I have one but it’s not working.
Instead, I remain in a state of openness to what is emerging in the moment, even though from moment to moment the course seems uncertain. This is new territory for me.
